Leon Brittan... Alleged Child Abuse

The former Home Secretary who died last week was at the centre of allegations involving an establishment paedophile ring operating in Westminster
Allegations that were known about in Newsrooms in the 1980's
But, couldn't be reported at the time.

Seems to be the in thing right now.
Wait until someone dies then say anything you want as they are no longer able to disagree.
Or prove their innocence (or otherwise) in a court of law.

Re: Leon Brittan... Alleged Child Abuse

He was photographed entering an underage sex den during a 1986 police investigation (Operation Orchid) along with Cyril Smith & some top judges, but it was disbanded the day before the swoops were going to take place & the evidence 'lost' again  Roll eyes http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/top-tory-leon-brittan-photographed-5037869

Re: Leon Brittan... Alleged Child Abuse

that says more about the photographer to me... they were more interested in snapping the photo than reporting the alleged "den" there and then, possibly stopping any alleged abuse in the process. they would rather let the alleged abuse happen so that they could get their photo (and the money that would flow from it).

Report to who? The allegation is that it was the police taking the photographs as part of an investigation.
"Leon Brittan was photographed entering an underage sex den during a police investigation, it has been claimed.
The Tory Lord, who died on Wednesday, is said to have been snapped by officers"

Re: Leon Brittan... Alleged Child Abuse

so the police were more interested in taking photos and then doing nothing about it? rather then taking the photos and then raiding the place there and then?
something doesn't add up with the whole story.

an underage sex den

Shouldn't there be an "alleged"  in front of this.
If it was really and definitely "an underage sex den" why would the police just sit watching.

Re: Leon Brittan... Alleged Child Abuse

To build up a strong enough case with concrete evidence on the individuals & their connections so that they can get a successful prosecution & close the ring down from the top, otherwise it would be a waste of time & money, investigations can tan take some time especially when it involves groups of well connected / powerful people.
Theres an alleged paedophile ring known in the east Yorkshire towns of Whitby & Scarbourough that Yewtree have been investigating, involving Jimmy Savile, Peter Jaconelli (Mayor / Ice Cream 'King') & business man / arcade owner Jimmy Corrigan http://www.real-whitby.co.uk/savilejaconellicorrigan-paedophile-ring-nyp-cover-up-continues/

Re: Leon Brittan... Alleged Child Abuse

Sorry but that just doesn't ring true.
Police allow children to be abused so they can build up a case against those committing the offence.
That would make the headlines in all the nationals.
Like I said alleged.
The other way would involve the police being arrested.
