My T61 is of that era, but thankfully it has a mains power cable off a Compaq Armada (much longer than the one my T61 came with), so no exploding melting whatever going on... Shocked

My T61 is the same age but came without a power unit, got one off ebay.

We have a machine with one of these cables at work and it failed the PAT test but HP won't replace it.

I just looked at my cable, it is marked as an "LS-15", but not as pictured by Lenovo or Hateful Pile, but it's from when Compaq had nothing to do with HP, so, I feel safe...  Grin
