Last Night of the Proms

Does any one still watch it?
As a youngster I used to watch it regularly even recording the simul-broadcast off Radio 3. Then from the 90's till a couple of years ago fell out with it. But I have found I have enjoyed it immensely again and looking forward to part two with the usual Pomp and Circumstance, Jerusalem, etc.
I rarely watch any other part of the proms, though.
Tonight on BBC2 7:30 - 9:00 then BBC 9:10 - 10:35.

Re: Last Night of the Proms

I used to watch it but haven't for a few years.  I remember the ones where Sir Malcolm Sargent was the conductor. He really got the promenaders involved.
The ending was always good. A rousing chorus from the audience and the singing of Rule Brittania made me feel proud to be English Smiley Smiley

Re: Last Night of the Proms

I noticed the slight lack of sync at times - recorded off Free view.
The violin duet was fun. All in all a good Last Night but I do miss the Sailor's Hornpipe.
