Lancashire clogs Cuadrilla

Just seen that Lancashire have blocked the application to pulverise the bedrock at Little Plumpton.  Sounds a bit like a Rev. Audrey story but the company are a bit fracked off.
I say leave the gas in the ground for 50 years until our great grandchildren.needs it.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Next step see you in court  Smiley
I hope the councillors have taken legal advice over their personal liability after going against the recommendations of the council officials  Roll eyes

Re: Lancashire clogs Cuadrilla

They have taken legal advice and made the decision to ignore it.
The government have made it plain they want fracking to go ahead and this decision will be overturned on appeal which will cost council tax payers in Lancashire thousands of pounds (of which I am one)
The councillors made this decision because they do not want to be seen as the bad guys which will cost them votes.
Trust me fracking will go ahead which does not mean I am in support of it

Re: Lancashire clogs Cuadrilla

Companies like that can frack off, there's so much more gas available in and easily extracted from landfill sites, and the amount of waste that goes into landfill and the sewers can be put into biodigesters to make gas as well, fracking is one of those ways of extracting something that "might" be there, but whether it is or not, it will undermine the landscape regardless and cause subsidence and sinkholes as has happened in many places where old mines have been and collapsed causing people to lose their homes and businesses.
But things like that are of no concern to those who live elsewhere in the world, you know, if it doesn't affect them, it's not a problem, apparently... Roll eyes
