Re: Kippers Smoke the Tories

It goes to show, that there were reasons, behind their decisions to change party
Wise move, (yet to be determined)
That said I hope it was the the best interests of the public & not for financial gain

Re: Kippers Smoke the Tories

the only one who didn't do it for some kind of gain would be carswell because he stepped down as an MP first then defected, reckless clearly though he would keep the job and runaway with it, despite his constituents having voted blue ....

Re: Kippers Smoke the Tories

This rightwards shift in British politics is not to be applauded.
Especially when the alternative is so pathetically weak.

Is there any "left" left? British political parties all look varying degrees of "right" to me.

Re: Kippers Smoke the Tories

there never were any proper left wing parties, the Tories have been fairly consistently pretty much in the centre, the liberals have had pure socialist ideals akin to the Chinese brand of communism the labour party has consistently wanted to instigate a Russian revolution style top down change leaving them as the politburo and the rest of us as starving plebeians with no monarch to cry to for help....
the kippers have always been a protest party with a single gal and no viable policies, sure they have a lot of idiotic ideas that already failed in the past, without some one serious about running the country for the good of the country its just another brand of the monster raving loony party regardless of Farage appearing to have been moulded from the same batch of plasticine as Red Ed......

Re: Kippers Smoke the Tories

William Hague's a plonker. I wouldn't of gave away one million to make a statement, more money than sense. Should of gave that million to food banks across the U.K.

Re: Kippers Smoke the Tories

I agree Steve but you know what the rich are like - they like to think that the poor choose to be poor and are all lazy scroungers etc.
I think most of them are dirt .. being polite about it.

Re: Kippers Smoke the Tories

I don't think UKIP will go it with the tories - if they do, it's the end of UKIP and Farrage.
This is exactly what happened with the Lib Dems - nobody trusts them now.

Never liked that William Hague. Imagine calling somebody a ' nobody ' what a horrible prat. If he said that to me I would be right round at his house and give him a smack in the gob so he couldn't call anyone else that again.

Re: Kippers Smoke the Tories

unless milipeede does something spectacularly stupid in the next few months labour will end up with the most seats, just look at what are considered safe labour seats, there safe because no matter which spineless moron is standing for the party the union indoctrinated mindless idiots always vote labour, when Gordon brown a few weeks before the last election stood in a safe labour seat and referred to the locals as collectively council house scum and brainless union idiots they still voted red  come ballot time........
ukip like to claim there stealing votes from all 3 parties but in reality they have been targeting the Tories, Farage is scared of ending his practically gold plated guaranteed seat at the trough of the EUP, he wants labour to win because he's guaranteed to keep getting re-elected to Europe, he doesn't mind if they steal a few seats but his policies are a complete joke he just wants tory voters to spread out between kippers and tories giving labour enough clear wins to get them into power and secure his seat at the next EUP election, his party are all in it for what they can make out of it personally, they don't give a toss about doing the right thing, if they did they would actually show up to votes and vote with Britain's best interests in mind instead of being absent or voting against the national interests, they do love to grandstand and improve their individual profiles though but that's how you keep getting voted back into power, it worked well for shrek up north he acted against the interests of Scotland several times just so he could claim it was all Westminster's fault fortunately enough people saw through his nonsense and voted against independence....

Re: Kippers Smoke the Tories

Unfortunately though, Hague is one of the better Tories. There are others who are far worse and look down their noses at people with sheer contempt. I've met a fair few of them in my time and they just seem to think that other lower life forms are some sort of disgusting 'thing'.
I personally think Hagues attitude is a bit screwed up. Moons ago he wasn't such a bad character but since he's got a bit of power, he seems to have become an arrogant git - along with
Phillip Hammond (who is never wrong about anything and has answers for everything), George Osborne, Ken Clarke, Danny Alexander and that fat slob Pickles (bet he's called a few poor folk lazy and selfish in his time eh?). Oddly the Vince Cable has kind of grown on me for some weird reason.
I used to prefer the Tories moons ago but these days I think they're a ****ing disgrace. They should all be ashamed of themselves.
