Re: Kenwood Chef or Food Processor

Swmbo swears by her Magimix "Gran Chef" used almost daily, has had the same unit for over 30 years, no major problems with it, had a replacement bowl about 15 years ago and has had one replacement blade since. Nice to see spare parts are still available for the same model.

What is it you want to do?
Chop things quickly - food processor.
Mix thick foods/liquidise/knead dough - kenwood chef.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Kenwood  - mines older than that and I think that they still use the same fitting for the bits
done two loaves this week, much better than those bread machines that leave a hole up the middle

Re: Kenwood Chef or Food Processor

May i ask what yeast you use, packet/dried or fresh ?
I mix dough by hand and find dried yeast terrible i find it difficult to get fresh yeast .
supermarkets aren't supposed to sell fresh yeast because its a living organism (some will charge a small fee)
I worked in a bakery for some years so had no probs with fresh yeast.
Oh dear how i miss that smell  Sad
