Just a Coincidence?

Accidently my wife connected the PC fax card to the ADSL output of one of our filters (I do admit that I inadvertantly gave her the wrong cable  Embarrassed)
After disconnecting the fax card I noticed that the line was dead yet we still had internet access. I plugged a (non-DECT) phone directly into the main socket - dead. Plugged the same phone into my mother's line - worked.
Phoned BT who, after some checks, said there was a fault at the exchange - can't do anything till tomorrow  Cry
So, could the fax issue have caused the fault to occur or just coincidence. The phone was working earlier in the day but I am not sure how long before we noticed the fault.
If this is in the wrong forum, please move it accordingly.

Re: Just a Coincidence?

If you watched the film "Queen" - do you recall the line when she is reporting the landrovers broken front drive shaft after driving into the burn -  " I used to be a vehicle mechanic in the war don't forget "
Likewise many of today's RAF / RN  aircraft technicians are women ! !
Also many RAF pilots are women these days

I'd leave the straps good and tight  Grin
ok - a fair percentage of people don't like flying - it's not a natural  place for man to be.
But for some of these - a sympathetic pilot can help and turn people around so that they love it.
BA used to run courses to help - not sure if they still do.

Re: Just a Coincidence?

Me either and I know it's totally irrational - I get the science of it all - and think it is probably to do more with control issues than the actual fact of flying itself
