Re: Jo Yeates’ landlord’s libel case

I wonder if his police DNA record has been expunged?

Re: Jo Yeates’ landlord’s libel case

The papers are going to appeal and they might just win !
They argue that what they printed could not affect his trial in any way because the charges were dropped and he would not be going on trial ?
Interesting to see the outcome on this.

Quote
The High Court fined the Daily Mirror £50,000 and the Sun £18,000 for being in contempt of court by "vilifying" early suspect Christopher Jefferies.
The attorney general said they had engaged in a "feeding frenzy". The Mirror has said it will appeal.

Peanuts to them though isn't it.
At the end of the day they made an innocent mans life difficult, and they've got off with a punishment that is water off a ducks back.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

He was virtually tried by the court of Black Adder.

How do we know? The figures have not been released.  The payments by 8 newspapers are confidential. Only 2 amounts have been released in respect of contempt of court by 2 newspapers.
