With my Mum living 175 miles away, I'm probably safe.

Are you going to provide us with some video evidence of your supremacy?

Re: Jam / Cream or Cream / Jam?

Nope - I don't even have one of these newfandangled games console thingummybobs.
I could have a go at chess though - its the kind of game well suited to quaffing wine whilst partaking.

Re: Jam / Cream or Cream / Jam?

It's not off topic anyway. I believe the chat is still about jam sessions.

Doesn't cream and jam make you fat whichever way you apply it?

Not if you apply it down the front of your shirt.

Re: Jam / Cream or Cream / Jam?

Another question;
Does it have to be strawberry jam, or is raspberry acceptable?
I'm fairly certain that apricot jam isn't acceptable - but whats the form for jams which have a reddish colour? Are they interchangeable in scone ettiquette?

Actually, I would only entertain raspberry jam on a cream and jam scone. Strawberry is just too bland and anything that isn't red is just a style suicide.

Re: Jam / Cream or Cream / Jam?

Should be strawberry jam.  But I like black cherry jam - delicious with cream.......................... [ignore the scone]

ps the weekend will be good if it stops raining!
