It's That Time of Year Again - Clocks go Back!!

Got home from the US yesterday. Looked like I brought Hurricane Gonzalo back with me. It didn't cause any problems in the US but Bermuda caught the brunt of it. It was also bad here yesterday with 3 people dieing.

Looks like the weather is beginning to change in readiness for the clocks that go back at the weekend. Early hours of Sunday we go back and we end up with an extra hour in bed Smiley

Re: It's That Time of Year Again - Clocks go Back!!

Just in the process of changing the movements in 2 of our battery operated clocks to Rugby Anthorn (radio) linked movements. That means the end of changing the time twice a year!  Wink
Bought the movements on eBay for £15 each. They receive time signals from the Atomic clock in Rugby Anthorn at regular intervals, so they maintain perfect time!
Have a wrist watch (Casio Wave Ceptor) that does it for donkies years and our Central Heating timer adjusts automatically too.

This time signal hasn't come from Rugby for 7 years - It now comes from Anthorn in Cumbria

I really do dread this time of year.... dark evenings, lack of daylight... it's horrible!
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

@NedLudd, Have you ever used your Casio Wave Ceptor abroad? The reason I ask is that I bought an atomically adjusted clock in the US. Works perfectly over there but won't self-adjust here. Do they only tune into one atomic clock?

The main excuse used to be that the clocks were changed mainly for the Scots benefit.
That must be worn out and way past its sell by date by now.
England could do worse than stay on summer time and the welcome return also of double summer time.

I can select the 'clock' to tune in to. Used it in Europe and on a cruise from Brasil back to England!
On the other hand, the clock movements I just bought are UK only!
