It pays to request your PAC from the right department

Due for an upgrade today with T-mobile.
Rang their upgrade line and was offered the same deal (HTC Sensation) as for all other customers. As a long-time (17 years) customer I expected a bit more. I told them I could get a similar deal for £5 less with other providers and requested my PAC.
Without a second thought I was given it. I was shocked - I at least expected some kind of offer to keep me, after all, I do have two phones with them. All the CS agent said was to be careful as many other companies do not offer brand new phones. I checked that out and they do.
I rang again, this time specifically choosing the option for requesting a PAC. Within 5 minutes I was on the deal I wanted at £5 less with the new phone being delivered tomorrow Smiley
