Re: Is it April 1st

The song has a good team behind it:
Quote
The Eurovision single, yet to be announced, has impressively cool credentials: it will be written and produced by the team behind Adele, Mary J Blige and Lana Del Rey.

But, until something is done about the political voting, we haven't a chance.
I still enjoy it, though.

Re: Is it April 1st

UK can't afford to host it if we win, hence a no hoper singer just to be sure

Never been the same since Terry Wogan stopped presenting it.  I loved his non-PC commentary Smiley

Re: Is it April 1st

We have a bit of fun with the scoring.  Before we’ve heard any of the songs we all pick 5 countries and predict which country they will give top and next to top votes to. I reckon we get about 80% correct. It’s best to pick the eastern European countries; it’s a fair bet that Estonia will vote highly for Latvia and Lithuania  Wink

I recall seeing Slumplebert Crumpadink in pantomime, at the Palladium, in late 1960s.
As has been said, we can't afford to win, especially after Olympics.

Re: Is it April 1st

Looks like Humpers will have some good company.
The Russian entry is a group of 6 grandmothers - I think the song is actually quite good; after the first 30/40 seconds Cheesy
Just had a listen to Ireland's entry - embarrasing stuff!

You learn the whereabouts of strange European countries you couldn't quite place - such as Israel.
