Is being tall an advantage ?

Is being Tall an advantage in a job interview ?
I Have been retired for a number of years but looking back to when I was working a high percentage of people in senior positions were tall (6ft and over)
Clearly there are some people well below this height in Senior positions but in my experience most were 6ft or above.
Does this apply to where you work or where you worked (if retired) ?

I'm tall (~6'2") but I don't think there are many in our leadership team (senior management) over 6".

Sorry, I just couldn't help noticing this unfortunate typo.  Lips are sealed

Re: Is being tall an advantage ?

My drinking partner is only 5' 3" tall.
A few years ago he told me of something he'd read in one of the Sundays that people 5' 2" and under would now be officially considered as 'Small'.
"So," he said "if they are officially small then, at 5' 3" I must be officially tall!".  Roll eyes

I'm 6' 1" and there is a range of heights in the last place I worked.
The MD is my height.

Re: Is being tall an advantage ?

Just to add that in my experience taller bosses have been better.
It always seemed to me that the shorter the boss the more he appeared to want to prove himself,

Not always an advantage, some beds are only 6ft long and door frames 6ft High. so you could end up with cold feet or a sore head ! Wink
