Is anybody watching........

........Little Dorrit on BBC 1 Wednesday and Thursday evenings? The timing itself it interesting because this is how Dickens first published his works - as installments in newspapers.
Auntie has been taking a lot of flak just lately with the R&B scandal so this production deserves a great big compliment. It is just superb. The acting, props and music are a delight, as is the story of course. The actor who plays the evil Rigaud deserves an award - he positively makes the flesh creep as soon as he comes into camera shot!
These productions (Larkrise to Candleford, Cranford and the like) are well worth the license fee IMO even though I don't watch much television.

they have been taking a lot of flack recently about the timing of Little Dorit and the fact that they changed the times without notice

Re: Is anybody watching........

The timings have been messed about with but now it seems to have settled on Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. so I set the DVD to record them. Didn't see POV but the BBC should take notice of this, especially with such a high-rated serial.

Re: Is anybody watching........

Trying to watch ...but its like trying to hit a moving target at the moment Wink
According to Radio Times website:-
Today 6:15-7:15 (repeat -except that half of it is not a repeat because last Thursday's episode was replaced by Panorama)
Weds 8:00-8:30
Thurs 8:00-9:00
Next Sunday 5:30-7:00 (repeat)
But who knows if things will change again before its broadcast. Even the BBC website seems to be getting confused (see attached). Maybe they just want us all to use their iPlayer Roll eyes

Re: Is anybody watching........

Just settled down to watch it on Thursday and was very disappointed to see that it had been moved yet again. Set the DVD to record the omnibus edition but it looks like I will have to check it again. BBC must be loopy - they spend all this money on a superb programme and then shift it about so we miss it!  Huh
