Is Plusnet biassed towards the northern users

Having just lost internet access all day yesterday and only just managed to reconnect I have a simple question.
When the recorded message says that the whole of the South of England is cut off and the Service Status says that 36,000 customers were disconnected does that mean that Plusnet only have 36,000 customers in the South of England - alternatively is their definition of the South similar to the usual definition of the North (anything north of Watford Gap Services  Grin)

I think we need to ask how they define South of England.  I'm in Essex and didn't lose connection yesterday.  Maybe they use the Thames as their North-South divide Smiley

I'm surprised half you guys know where Sheffield is ? :-)))
Many of my old friends from Essex/London/Sussex  think that Derby is in the deep north - let alone Sheffield ...........

No problems yesterday and very depending who you talk to I am either extreme south coast or off-shore Wink

Essex again - and no problems yesterday (well no more than I usually have - a few brief line drops due to being on the ADSL2 trial (nothing to cause too much inconvenience it just ups my SNR for a couple of days  Cry))

I doubt it, as the exchange with the problem is Kingston, which is in South London. I therefore suspect that 'South England' is supposed to be 'South London' - although even then obviously not everyone's affected seeing as alanf's Ok.

Still south to me - now  Smiley
I moved north in stages - via Tadcaster, then back down to Derby and now back in Perthshire - but originally from the deep south as far south as you can go before the sea takes over.......
But in all honesty - Yorkshire has been one of the all time best places............
