The problem is, how do you know where your pork is from?
The law allows a food manufacturer to claim a product is manufactured in the country where it last underwent processing or treatment involving a substantial change.  Undecided
Lets hope that food manufacturers will be honest.

They interviewed the Irish Minister of Agriculture this morning. He said "There is absolutely no cause for concern. I've been eating Irish pork for weeeeeeeeks weeeeeekweeeeeekweeeeek."

It's also permitted to label it as "produce of the EU", without any further designation.  When the UK had meat problems, there were immediate moves by all EU countries to ban  the movement of British beef, until we could prove that the systems were in place to prevent health risks.  Is there going to be a ban on pork products from Ireland?
