Introduce Yourself....

Exactly as the title states, introduce yourself to the community. You can include as much or as little information as you want.
I guess I'll go first then.
As you can probably guess my name is Chris Smiley, I post as chrisparr in most other places and that's probably the name people are more familiar with.
Currently I'm working on the Comms team here at PlusNet towers and before that I was a member of Technical Support.

Re: Introduce Yourself....

Smiley Hello my name is Noel.
Just though i'd go second and see how quickly this thread goes if at all!
I am a Plusnet customer and referer.
Havn't made many posts here yet but that might change.
Previously a partner in a busy IT company in Belfast so I have quite a bit of IT experience. My big bro is Mark, the new Plusnet Referrals Manager, so I will be giving him plenty of stick over the next coming months.
I like to dabble in website design and everything Hardware. I have no IT qualifications and have learnt the hard way, break it and see if I can fix it.
You won't find me gripeing too much in these forums but I will pop in and out every now and then and try to help the community with hardware and design problems. I will also be keeping a close eye on the Referrals Forum.
When not on the forums i'll be out drinking Guinness.
(A wise man once said, all a man needs is Guinness and Sheep) OK and his computer!
Go on tell us about yourself so we have half an idea who were talking to.  Grin

Re: Introduce Yourself....

Hi all,
I'm Carl, you'll see me in other forums as 'neenan'.  I work in the network development department and have been at plusnet towers for about 30 months.  For the majority of my time here I have been involved in designing, implementing and improving the broadband management platform.

Outside of plusnet I like lots of beer (and red wine) and PS3 on line gaming Wink
I'll be on here taking a look at posts to see if I can help out in anyway.
Regards

Re: Introduce Yourself....

I'm Mike Grice, I work in the Systems Development team here at PlusNet.  I'm pretty much a counterpart for Carl, 'cept he does infrastructure and I do systems.  There's a couple other people on my team, who I hope will stick their heads in.
I've been at PlusNet for 6 years with a 1 year sabattical Wink and fall pretty much inline with Carl in terms of beer consumption, gaming, and other bits and bobs.
I stick my head in here from time to time, and am always up for a chat with regards to systems design, tricky computing problems, and so on.
Take it easy,
Mike.

Re: Introduce Yourself....

Good Afternoon all!
My name is Brad (probably guessed that already too) and I work on Technical Support in the Call Centre. Been here for just over 6 months now. Loving every minute of my job and am looking forward to participating and being a part of our Community which we plan to make huge!!
I also post sometimes in the other forums (on portal) as bellz2002 so a few keen eyes may have seen that before.
Apart from work, I like films, football, socialising (yes drinking!) and other bits and pieces. Always approachable too if needed.
Have fun,
Brad

Re: Introduce Yourself....

Hi everyone,
My name's Shaun, and I'm a Data Analyst here at PlusNet. If any of you are still awake after that statement,  Grin, I look after facts and figures about our customer base, signups, usage patterns etc. For those of you that have been over to PUG (http://usergroup.plus.net/), you may have seen some of my usage stats on average usage per month broken into 10th percentiles.
I won't go into any more details as I'm sure you're all asleep by now (even Carl, who pretends to be interested!!).
I'll try and look in here as often as I can.
Have fun,
Shaun

Re: Introduce Yourself....

Forum regs probably know who I am.  But for the benefit of the newbs, I'm Liam and, since September 2006, I've worked in the Comms Team here at PN Towers.
Prior to coming to work at PlusNet I was a moderator of the Portal Discussion Forums and a member of the PlusNet UserGroup.
I'm a big fan of music and used to run a scaringly popular news/reviews site etc... but since moving up here I've been a bit too busy to give it any focus.  I like good Comedy and, like most PlusNetters, like socialising and having a beer or three.  Timothy Taylor Landlord being my ale of choice. :-)

Re: Introduce Yourself....

As many will know so far, I am Phil Richardson and I have been a staffer since October 2005. I work in our shiney new Business Support team, but here to help any and all.
Other reg may remember, prior to PlusNet, I too was a moderator of the Portal Discussion Forums and too, a member of the PlusNet Usergroup.
Prior to working here, I worked for a charity in Liverpool and to this day, still help out on the annual outing, though the venue has had to change due to a lack of facilities (namely the funfare no longer existing).
I love my music, mainly of the dance variety, electro, trance and hard house. Thost out doing the festivals this year will see me, probably asleep at Global Gathering and Creamfields.
