I drove about 300km from Bangalore to a place in northern Karnataka called Bagalkot in 1992. How I survived I'll never know! The return journey was partly in the dark; nobody uses headlights, or even sidelights, because "they can see perfectly well".

I Was in Ho CheMin City (Siagon) a few months ago, virtually impossible to cross the road due to the vast number of scooters & motor bikes not just on the road but on pavements as well.

Looks like a complete nightmare.  I didn't see any pedestrians trying to cross the road Wink

I don't think it has much choice Wink
I think I saw somewhere that the Indian driving test took about 5 minutes tops and involved driving a vehicle 50 yards down a road with a small bend in it.

It is a bit like that in the Moscow rush hour, particularly on Garden Ring. I was in a taxi which repeatedly broke down on that route; when the engine stopped the driver jumped out with a bottle of petrol in his hand to work on the engine of the car as traffic rushed past on either side.  We didn't tip him!
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.
