Icy roads

I here that there were a large number of accidents this morning due to icy roads.
Haven't they stocked on rock salt yet - and some councils only doing main roads.

Re: Icy roads

We had a dual carriageway nearby closed yesterday morning due to black ice - a section of road which was gritted frequently through the night.
Its not just a lack of grit that causes issues - very often its people driving too fast. (And very often its just bad luck too)

The A12 in Essex was closed this morning due to an accident caused by black ice.  More bad weather expected tonight.
