Re: Ian Brady Dead

Just a shame this piece of filth didn't reveal where Keith Bennetts body is. Thoughts are with Keith Bennetts family.

Re: Ian Brady Dead

Slowly and painfully I hope.

Sad though that Keith Bennett's family will probably never now have proper closure.

Not likely to be missed by anyone.

Good example of what a psychopath is.

And blimey, at 79 didn't he take his time.

An argument for capital punishment if ever there was one.

Re: Ian Brady Dead

As part of a TV News Organisation, I interviewed Winnie Johnson many times over the years.

She was a tortured soul, very sad.

So sad that Keith's mother could not give him a proper burial before she died.

Re: Ian Brady Dead

He should have been strung up. After what he did and it's people like us that's paid for his keep all these years. Another waste of tax payers money.

Re: Ian Brady Dead

Heartfelt sympathies to all those victims and their families.

RIP for Brady could be renamed as Rot In Purgatory.

But this does beggar the question though whether capital punishment should still be available for certain types of crime, this being a prime example where there is no possibility of a miscarriage of justice, there are several other examples; the Rose West and her accomplice for instance.

It it true or a myth the capital punishment is still available for high treason?

Edit/ you will notice I didn't give an opinion one way or the other, only asked the question.

Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

I recall the fuss when capital punishment was ended.

Anyone else remember the Craig/Bentley case?

Re: Ian Brady Dead

I certainly do, as the 'robbery' took place in my home town of Croydon.

Nasty all round and a giant case of injustice.

IMO, no, never.
a society that kills as a punishment can be deemed no better than the peson that killed originally.

also, where do you draw the line?
would you apply capital punishment for the killing of one person? if you do then the person might as well kill as many people as they can, as when they get caught they are going to get capital punishment anyway - they have nothing to lose in killing as many as possible.
