sharing a 4 meg symmetric ADSL link.

Was it symmetric or not?
I would have thought it was either a 4 meg SDSL line or a 4 meg ADSL line.
I would not have thought it could possibly be a symmetric asymmetric line?

Re: ISP still mislead on broadband speeds

speed is important to some degree, with the speed I am on it would take hours to download a film and it's too slow for a lot of youtube & other stuff as the picture just freezes up whilst the data is catching up.
Instead of focusing on fantastic broadband speeds they should prioritise those who are getting speeds that limit them doing even basic stuff.
