I`ve lost my icon !

can`t put this in the windows software section cos it applies to my linux edition too !...
Just re-installed windows, and of course, put Mozilla Firefox on instead of MS ie 8.... I down loaded a "morse trainer program" that I use, to keep my speed up, and it put an icon on the desktop, as they do.... and the next time I wanted to go on the net, my Firefox Icon was entitled G4FON morse trainer.... (so was the proper icon).... SO.... I right clicked on the Firefox and "Renamed" it... fine.... until the next time I booted up, and although the name is correct. it is now showing the icon for  a document.... hmm !... send it to the delete bin... did that, looked in my Mozilla folder for the Firefox exe file, to make a short cut,..... and hey !.. it too has a "document" icon....
anyone help to restore the Firefox icon please?

Re: I`ve lost my icon !

Under Windows try this suggestion http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/49819-icon-cache-rebuild.html - I know it refers to Windows 7 but it may be the same
This may be an option http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-general-1/find-icon-file-in-linux-filesystem-674043/
