I`ve discoverd the "Mark Read" button

So many postings on this board lately, I just don`t have the time to read them all... so I just click "Mark  Read"... on the top right hand side...
Gives me so much more time to get on with my life and do things I really enjoy !.  Cool

Re: I`ve discoverd the "Mark Read" button

I keep looking for the usual "mark all forums read" button but I can't see one.
That helps in seeing what's the latest better.

Re: I`ve discoverd the "Mark Read" button

The button is named to honour Mark Read who founded PlusNet in 1853. In those days internet transmission was via narrow high pressure steam pipes buried under the pavements. The Help Desk Clerks were trained to ask various questions like "Have you checked the steam pressure gauge.."
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Presumably that is where the idea for 'Steam' downloads originated ?

Re: I`ve discoverd the "Mark Read" button

I actually thought that "Mark Read" was the pseudonym of "Mike Read".... he, of Radio One, who used to waffle on about things of little interest to fill in the spaces between records, to save the BBC "needle money payments"....
Mind you, I`m not sure they still pay that, since digital recordings have been on the air...  Cheesy
