@St3  Yeah, Me!..... just open a tin... or a packet soup.... saves all that hassle of cleaning the machine afterwards !  ( and saves the cost of the machine in the first place !  Cheesy )

Yeah just don't do what my sister did.

Get a blender, didn't work. She assumed it was a fault and took it back. Replacement didn't work either, got upset.

Then I worked out it had a safety mechanism where the motor wouldn't run unless the lid was on. She was trying to use it while it was off.

I would assume that model would have the same, and while I can't advise food wise - it'll probably work better with the lid on Smiley

Further to my last post on this ......`twould be interesting to watch your "smart meter" clicking up the cost of using it too ! !  Shocked

Ready-made soups have been criticised for having too much salt in them.

Without a doubt - if you ever taste the powder before adding the hot water you can taste it.. but its still delicious Smiley
