I never thought I'd live to see the day

I've just seen something of urban legends status...

Can you guess what I saw....?

Give up?

Prepare to be amazed
I'm at Cambridge services on the A14, and there's a car parked in the electric car hook up - AND ITS ACTUALLY HOOKED UP AND CHARGING!! Shocked
It does seem a rather complicated routine, entailing opening lots of doors, ports etc. Grin Grin

Maybe you don't see them much because they charge so blindingly fast that they are come and gone before you noticeHuhHuh

Re: I never thought I'd live to see the day

Hey don't knock it!   Cheesy
My observation was that I have seen many electric charging points and it is the first time I have seen one used. And then the palaver they went through to use it.
The actual cost of supplying these charge points versus the usage makes me doubt the viability of them.

Re: I never thought I'd live to see the day

If you are charging your electric car at a motorway service station do you have to pay for the 2 hour plus parking fee while it charges up?
@7up, My Audi does not not go over the speed limit but it only indicates when it will benefit other road users. How does that fit with your envy prejudice?

Seriously?
Ok, hows this suit you. You go buy me an Audi or BMW (with your cash obviously) and lets see just how fast i can get shot of it on ebay (and the stupidly low price i'll let it go at just to get shot of it) and then i'll go and find a car that i do like.
Envious? Never.
