I nearly wet myself laughing....

Ok, following 7ups topic about ok Google I decided I needed to use the facility more. I was sitting in the staff restroom and asking it various questions - getting more outrageous as I went along - and a lot of the time it answered "I'm sorry I don't understand". So I said "don't say 'I don't understand'. She (I will name it 'She' as it is a female voice) then answered with "I'm sorry", so I next demanded "don't say ' I don't understand, or I'm sorry' so she replied with another form of apology. This went on for about five replies without repeat, which I thought was impressive, until eventually when I said 'OK Google' she replied (in an exasperated voice) " What now, how can I help you this time". That made me laugh.
I then asked (I hadn't really thought this through, so on the spot blurted out) "are you a lesbian?".

Well, her reply had me rolling on the floor. If you want to know what she said, try asking her, hopefully she will give the same answer I got.
An impressive piece of programming.

Re: I nearly wet myself laughing....

Just asked Alexa the same question and the answer was "I don't have a body."
I must have been really bad in a previous life as this was my 3rd ISP in a row that used lithium.
Now you're stuck with me because my new ISP doesn't run a forum Cheesy

Re: I nearly wet myself laughing....

Well I had to call Sky a few days ago.

Automated systems were a nightmare, I hate the ones where you have to speak into the phone rather than push a button. I hate those.

Got the patronsing, "Did you know, you can go on-line". Yes I do Sky but what I am asking you about I can't.

Hence the call.

At one point I had to answer a question saying "No" and after about 3-4 times it actually worked. Though I had to shout "No" quite loudly through their broken system.

At least I was at home dealing with this, not in public else I would have gotten some funny looks.

I often answer the questions with gibberish. Eventually it says it is having problems and will put me through to an advisor. Why not do that in the first placeCrazy2

Yeah the old slience trick, then it asks you to press the # to listen to the options, repeat slience trick a few more times.
Then you've got two possibile options:

If the call software is nasty it will cut you off.
Otherwise if not so nasty it will put you through to a human being. Give that 10 mins Roll eyes

I've asked the synthetic woman inside my phone before "What are you wearing?", and she just replies with "My birthday suit", she must be cold in there... Crazy

Re: I nearly wet myself laughing....

I don’t know what response you get from other devices, but if you ask Alexa this:

How much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

You get a rather interesting answer.

Re: I nearly wet myself laughing....

You should try Eliza, computer therapist

It's a program which imitates a psychiatrist (written in the 1960's).
