Sounds just like a wifi 3/4g dongle. What's so special? and @ £10/Gb not cheap either.

Relish home unlimited package costs £20 a month and customers can choose whether to sign up to a monthly contract, in which case the cost of the router would be £50, or a to yearly contract, which includes the device for free.

seems a good deal

Yeah £10 for 1GB,  fantastic deal!

Most likely will be 1/10th of the claimed speed

I think it's a great idea Wink
I'll add it to the growing list of 'things I cannot get':  Better than 3 Mbps connection;  Fibre;  3g Mobile---------->
I wonder how much backhaul connectivity they plan and how much resilience there will be at day 1?

Re: I had a good chuckle at this one!

its no different to several of the other wifi style trials pushed out over the years, it wont last or its price will treble, its £20 a month of unlimited home use via the router or £10/GB of data using a separate mobile hotspot, so in essence its the same as having a 3 dongle plugged into the router  but more expensive and only works via there supplied router (which is undoubtedly junk)
the best idea they had along these lines was the wifi bridge that was trialled and then binned (because the company went bankrupt when they couldn't charge a realistic price for there service) the biggest problem they have will be them being tied to the 3 network which whilst I get 14Mbps speed on H+ on my phone is far to spotty and overloaded in built-up areas to be viable unless of course every router acts as a signal repeater in which case it'll be broadcasting a far higher wattage then is safe for an indoor system ......
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you
