Re: Hurricane st3v3y

With speeds of 50 mph...it is a "Strong Gale" according to the Beaufort Scale

Not.... a hurricane...  Roll eyes

Re: Hurricane st3v3y

Well the strong gale could turn into a whirl wind then a hurricane and then ... BAM!

Fish did go on to warn of high winds for the UK, warning viewers to "batten down the hatches", although the storm that actually occurred was far stronger than he had predicted (albeit, technically not a hurricane).

According to the Beaufort scale of wind intensities, this storm had winds of hurricane force; however, the term hurricane refers to tropical cyclones originating in the North Atlantic or North Pacific. Hurricanes have a very different wind profile and distribution from storms

Re: Hurricane st3v3y

It's quite windy in my garden today.
Very few leaves left on my trees.
