No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Nellie the Elephant has tested positive for COVID 19. When asked how she got it she replied 'Trump Trump Trump'!

Re: Humour

Given we’re all supposed to be scared witless by the coronavirus, are the latest Government proposals “Tiers for Fears”?

@198kHz

So many solutions, so few results.

None of the lockdowns seem to be working so why do we keep doing more of the same dressed up as something different.

Someone is having a laugh that's for sure.

The lockdown introduced in March saw a massive drop in infections and deaths.  Just imagine how effective it would have been if everyone had complied.  Until at least one person in every family gets seriously ill or dies, people won't take it seriously.  It's a bit like people saying, "My grandad smoked 40 a day from the age of 14 and lived to be 96" as 'proof' that smoking is completely harmless.

Re: Humour

@Jonpe

That was the first wave which they knew at the time would recede as well as knowing there would be a second one - which there was. Is the a correlation between lockdowns and infections well maybe, but is everybody convinced. I'm certainly not.

And the purpose of everything? Well it's to give the NHS the time to learn and to react which was admitted by Boris when he said it was to stop the NHS being "overwhelmed".

Covid is here to stay and it's going to cast a shadow for months if not years.

Re: Humour

Anybody interested in a free ride in a helicopter, flight for 4 people?! I'm still looking for 2 more people to join us. We leave early Saturday (October 17) morning from Sutton Rec Playing Fields and will fly to Poole in Dorset where we will have breakfast and then on a yacht for lunch.
Then we’ll do a flight to the Brritish Channel Island of Alderney and returning to Poole for dinner, then fly back home.
If interested please let me know.
Preferably someone with a helicopter and yacht, otherwise we can't go...

Front page headline in one newspaper today says the expert opinion is that we won't get back to normal until July (presumably 2021).
