Humans are doomed... again!

Well, it looks like it's time to stock up the booze and buy some bluray boxsets...

Re: Humans are doomed... again!

No way humans will become extinct.
Virtually impossible, the population of people on earth increases every second.

Re: Humans are doomed... again!

Quite the opposite in time everything will become extinct.
May be sooner than expected for Humans as we develop even more elaborate ways to kill each other.

Too many humans, for humans to become extinct. At least not for another few trillion years time.

Re: Humans are doomed... again!

I know I wont be here after 60 years, therefore 7.6 billion years will not be bothering me Wink

Re: Humans are doomed... again!

None of us are going to see the next century but are you not curious about what happens in the future?
If I had a time machine I would love to travel forwards and see what happens to us and our planet in the future.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Re: Humans are doomed... again!

I do find it strange that some have no interest in our future.
After all curiosity and a thirst for knowledge is what got us this far.

Re: Humans are doomed... again!

Rewind 60 years ago,
Was it different then? Then think 60 years ahead, I wonder what it would be like?

Re: Humans are doomed... again!

I am interested in the future however, a lot has got to do with the natural course of the earth's rotational axis etc, and also dependent on the history, IE: volcanic age, Ice age etc
The main differences are that in modern times buildings absorb and store the ambient temperatures to some extent
Example
Desert = Extremely hot during daylight hours
Desert = Extreme cold during nightly hours
60 years ago I was not Born
However
The weather was not to dis-similar to what we are getting now
I can remember the more matured person saying over the past 10 or so years
Why can't we have the summers and winters like we used to as it they helped fight the pre seasons germs etc
