Re: How good is your vocabulary?

Also 45500ish after several tries almost the same each time, there's always one really obscure word that probably wouldn't be known except by a chemist or Latin scholar.

Ah, but that word you don't know is also a test of your vocabulary.  Wink

Re: How good is your vocabulary?

There were a couple of really obscure ones when I did it but it was relatively easy to get the correct answer by the process of elimination. I didn't know what it meant but I knew what it wasn't if you can follow my twisted logic

Re: How good is your vocabulary?

Anybody tried the "skip this step"?
Got them all right three times, score never exceeded 30000.

Re: How good is your vocabulary?

Skip this step skips the age marker, when you select the age you start with a high score and get added to for correct answers and subtracted from for incorrect answers, by skipping it you get a much lower starting score so can't get the higher figures.

Re: How good is your vocabulary?

it's not age it's the US Grade numbers - I started from College and Beyond which presumably means that they give you more difficult words

Tried again (College & Beyond) and got 50,007.
