How do you explain this to the insurance company.

I have the feeling it will be a very difficult call to make.

It's a Ferrari so who cares anyway, for me I have no sympathy for him as I suspect he may well have had smug mode well and truly engaged and may well have been showing off.

I wonder if he came up with the excuses...

1. "I only opened the door to let the clutch out officer"

2. "My boss told me to do some field research"

He's lucky to walk away from it though.

A float tip is pleasing in its appearance and even more pleasing in its disappearance.

Nothing about insurance in the link. Could he have afforded both car and insurance premium?Roll eyes

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

More money than driving ability obviously.

I'm guessing they went from a 1.2L fiesta to this, and didn't quite understand that flooring a ferrari is not like flooring a ford... Funny

Didn't I read somewhere that some of these super car companies do the odd or recommend some sort of day course at a race track. A sort of familiarise yourself with the power under controlled conditions instead of finding out the hard way on a wet B road.

Re: How do you explain this to the insurance company.

I've had a look at some of the stories from that link you posted @rongtw and I for one am glad I don't live there. The stories are gathered in a single page but there are enough of them to have their own topic! Some of the driving I saw in the videos is quite scary, you'd need to have extra eyes everywhere not just in the back of your head and appeal judges reducing a sentence due to a lack of evidence is just as worrying.

I'm not saying where I live is perfect, I've heard the 'boy racers' heading out of town in meatloaf mode, but due to the nature of the roads around here when an accident does occur it has a tendency to claim the lives of those involved.

You'd be surprised at how fast some of the tractors go around here, really!

You're right, and having large diesel engines the speeds can easily be circa 40mph, and that's one thing you don't want to meet going round a blind corner, regardless of how much speed you yourself are carrying.

Nothing wrong with splashing the cash for the big day, as for the racing, that's what track days are for, but I don't think the hire company would be too impressed if they saw footage of it on faceache.

"What do you mean Darling? You're telling me you forgot to ring back the insurance broker with your payment card details...?"

Now Zen, but a +Net residue.
