Re: How can I get my hands on a legacy mug

Ok back to the Question how can I get my hands on a legacy Force9 mug ?  Wink

If there's to be some memento available of Force 9, I'd actually prefer one that isn't breakable Smiley
Maybe a heavy-duty matt black scarf with a large-ish gold logo on it like the one on the PlustNet Past thread at http://usergroup.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,3066.msg39663.html#msg39663 .
Maybe others might prefer some more "conventional" item but the gold logo on black seems to work well.
Couldn't be a giveaway, whatever it was, and unlikely probably that F9/PN are actually going to organise anything-we-can-buy.
Just seems a pity.  Speaking as someone who still wears her "Millennium Dome T-shirt" (we got free tickets for the opening night) and still in possession of all the "Concorde souvenirs" (flew on Concorde at Mach 2 back in 1996, competition win) I guess I just tend to hang on to stuff which symbolises the "landmarks".
I'd put Force 9 in the "landmark" category.  Maybe others wouldn't agree - just the way I see things.  So yes, I would like the chance to buy a tangible souvenir, if that's possible Smiley
Regards,
Penny.

I may end up having to use a workaround as James_H pointed out.  Sad

There use to be one that was blue with the Force9 logo on it!

Are you sure you're not thinking of plus.net.uk? I believe I've heard of the existence of mugs with that logo on, in days gone by, and IIRC that vISP is treated as Force9 internally.

Re: How can I get my hands on a legacy mug

A while ago there was a link to the page showing the 10 year history of Force 9/Plusnet.  The graphics showed the aforementioned storm and  pylon for F9.  Can't find it now - can anyone direct me please?

Thanks for the reply. The link goes to the old CD but meanwhile I have found the one that I was looking for:

Unfortunately it doesn't show the F9 pylon - does anyone know if it is depicted somewhere else?

Shame we can't even make a mug in this country.
Cafépress is in USA - At this time our offices are U.S.-based. CafePress Headquarters is located in Foster City, CA. Our worldwide production facilities are located in Louisville, KY.
Ships in 2 business days - takes longer to arrive!

There isn't a great UK based merchandise shop. Sad  I've looked!
Cafe Press is good quality though, I've bought quite a few mugs from them Smiley
If anyone knows of a decent one, let me know.
