I worked at the Trebor Basset's factory in a previous existence many many moons ago. Their policy on such matters is eat what you like!
They found that to work much better than banning it as a rule as less stock went in staff members mouths and pockets. I did notice a lot of the long-serving staff had problems with diabetes or bad teeth though :S
The only permanent effects that job had on me is that I can't even look at a Jelly Baby now, totally put off. Too much too soon!

Just about every month she would bring home a couple of boxes of Jaffa Cake mis-shapes, one for myself and family.
The cost !! Two shillings per large box.....

You know I thought i was imagining it the last time I had one but you're right. Mind you I've cut down on so much sugar these days everything tastes a bit sickly. Weird that.. total sugarholic for years and now i dislike it - how does that work?

Quote How are Cadbury creme eggs made ?
According to the Cadbury website - http://www.cadbury.co.nz/products/easter/cadbury-creme-egg.aspx?p=3629
[quote=Cadbury website]You're probably wondering just how we make a Cadbury Creme Egg®.
Ask our chocolatiers that very question, and they'll answer, ‘chocolate chickens, of course’.
Believe them or not, you'll find they taste fantastic

Quote from: TORPC The equivalent to £0.10p
Not strictly true.
Two shillings in old money, today, allowing for RPI increase, would be worth around £1.75p to £2.00p
The equivalent of £2 per large box back then would be about right.
