au contraire, strat.  i mean what i say.

I knew that artificer I was just being facetious.
However you will no doubt agree that  the word learn is commonly used in place of  teach particularly by the young.

Re: How about Mis-pronounced words....

i'm too literal to cotten to jokes.  the more that yoof comes onto teh internet and reads the perfect prose of the elders, the better their command of language will become.
of course, that presupposes that the elders get it right. Tongue

It seems that your language does not approve of capital letters  Cheesy
(Only Joking. Don't take offence!)
(I wonder what the germans do when they are texting...all their Proper Nouns should have capital letters  Undecided)

Re: How about Mis-pronounced words....

my language has capitals available for when I wish to use 'em.  mostly i can't be arsed and it slows my typing too much.

The one that makes me cringe is the weather announcers on the radio when they say we can expect shars - I assume they mean showers, but then again I could be totally wrong.

Now there's a quaint word in unfortunately common use that has unpleasant and probably illegal connotations Roll eyes

It'd be a bit of a sad day if we went back to the news delivery ways of old, has to be a bit entertaining as the news they have delivered recently has all been bad.

It would be good if we had news readers who spoke with the Queens English, so in other words go back to news delivery of old.
