Manchester Airport is expecting its busiest Bank Holiday ever..... and all these people will be using one vehicle or another to get to the Airport !

Manchester Airport is preparing itself for one of its busiest weekends in history as 430,000 passengers are expected to arrive and depart the Northern hub over the bank holiday weekend.

Bank Holiday waiting around at an airport especially and probably with kids? 

How much to park there? 
My daughter parked her car recently at Bristol airport for seven days and it cost her... £70. 

Outrageous, we went by bus.

Why oh why when companies are screaming about going or being Green do they produce stuff like this, we all know it's going to end up as landfill! What a complete waste of resources.

Always keep well away from the roads during bank holidays, guess it's a different story if you are working and have to have your holidays at that time or take holidays when your children are off school.

Having been there and done that you remember the joys of being stuck in traffic on a hot day...with the frequently repeated question of.....How long before we get there ?

With the volume of traffic these days + cones it must be many times worse than in days of old.

If you think it's hot now wait until next year, with all those trees burning up in the Amazon area it can only get warmer.

Roads of old yes, but also cars of old when we'd worry far more than now about the car breaking down or running out of petrol. As for "are we there yet" and the kids being bored, well now they'd be texting friends with "are you there yet".

It was just a mad scramble to 'do something over the weekend' and get out of the house for the Mrs as well rather than do nothing - which was all most Dads of my generation wanted to do!

Happy memories. In slow moving traffic heading for a day out at the seaside. Watching the oil pressure drop and the water temperature rise, followed by the inevitable puncture....
