Re: Hot Bins...

Back in the early 70's I was told my Triumph Herald had an emergency reserve petrol supply.

When the petrol gauge hit empty was I bothered ? Only when the car stopped.

Nobody told me I had to throw a lever in the boot....

Re: Hot Bins...

Reminds me, I need to get my driving license renewed, as it expires mid October. Which isn't long now.
I have a 5 year one because I have had seizures in the past - not a nice thing, and I'll say no more there.

Only thing is, the photo is of a much younger me from my previous license.

You don't see those photos booths anymore - so not sure whether to go to a photo shop. Or whether they accept a digital photo of me. If so I will get the bad boy out (not talking about that - my digital SLR 😀) and will have to get someone to take it for me. Probably my sister.

Re: Hot Bins...

Good afternoon

When I was 70 I had to renew my licence and had the photograph done at my local post office

The postmistress took the photo with a digital camera and printed six off was slightly more expensive than the photo booths but well worth the extra

I would ask at your local post office

The couple of Asda's near me have them so if you have an Asda near you it might be worth taking a look.

Re: Hot Bins...

Yep I think there is an ASDA near the B&Q I will have to go to today.

My village is named "Upper". Lower is RAF. Its okay walking there but back it is a pain.

@Alex

If you already have a current UK passport you may not need to upload a new photo for your D/L.

DVLA links with passport system to help ease licence ...

Thanks @RobPN

Mine lasts until 2024, didn't know I could reuse it.
