It will be their 50th birthday, they were Married on their 21st.
Both have nearly the same birthday.
The couple own a Hotel, so no problems with accommodation.
So as not to impose too much, during our stay, we intend to spend some time away from our friends, so would welcome advice from others with experience of holidaying in Hawaii.

It's this going to be themed, as in characters from the show?
Go, enjoy.

Ties in with the TV show, and the ages of the married couple, it's a given.

Quite a few non resident C&C stay at their Hotel whilst shooting.

If you like sand, take a trip down to Waikiki Beach, rally magnificent. I was lucky enough to stay in a hotel on the beach, view from balcony was sand and sea and Diamond Head - you'll recognise that from the tv show.
You can also visit the bits where many films are made, George form the Jungle is one. A bit warm though, on my trip it was 95% humidity and 90 degrees at the same time.
Everywhere seemed exceptionally clean, nobody drops litter and in many parts the police patrol in shorts on horseback.
Just don't spend however long you have cooped up in a hotel room !

The capital is Honolulu where Waikiki beach is located. It is the most commercialised place on the islands.
This is the place that drew America into WW2 and there are a lot of very interesting Japanese influences including a Japanese population. As already mentioned Pearl Harbour is a must. If you go on an official trip you are allowed to walk on the Arizona which was sunk in the harbour. It is now a national park.
On one visit I took a flight to Maui for a day. It is a green, lush island and well worth a visit.

Hopefully just as Hot when we return.
Nothing worse than coming back from a Hot location, dressed in light clothing, to arrive back at Manchester Airport, and it is "freezing" once you step out of the Arrivals Hall, to collect Car, or wait for Taxi.
The Car Park is under cover, so is quite chilly, even on a Hot day.
Currently 30ºC in Hawaii, where we are staying.
All excited now !

The 4th July Wedding Affirmation Vows Ceremony was very moving, well attended, with many of their friends & family, quite a few of whom we had not seen for a long time.
Also staying at the hotel, some of the ground crew for Solar Impulse.
We were invited for a visit to see the Aircraft.
It's massive !!
Whilst in Hawaii, we also did a lot of sightseeing, beautiful Island, brilliant views from the Helicopter trips we did.
(Thanks for all the suggestions)
Our hosts took us around to their favourite Beauty spots.
So sad it is over, for now...
And...... yes, Manchester Airport was relatively cold !!
We have been invited back....... Yes we will be returning.
