Having a nice day....

Storm Caroline ?  Huh.... what storm... ? ? ?

Darn sarf, on the glorious south coast, we are sweltering in 6 degs C... with brilliant sunshine, hardly a breeze, some nice fluffy clouds drifting by.  A lovely day for a walk along the beach, and have a cup of coffee watching the ships in and out of Portsmouth and Southampton.

Not going to ge me cozzy on though ! ! ..Shocked

It's a bit chilly up here in the NW Smiley

I must have been really bad in a previous life as this was my 3rd ISP in a row that used lithium.
Now you're stuck with me because my new ISP doesn't run a forum Cheesy

Re: Having a nice day....

Yes quite nice down here except for a local 15 minute freezing cold shower which unfortunately I found myself in for 10 minutes.

Re: Having a nice day....

Anyone else find it odd that we Brits tend to use °C for cold weather but °F for warm weather?

Re: Having a nice day....

Well, it`s another fine day we have down here again.... was -2c at 0630 today.... heavy frost on the car necessitated getting the Fan Heater plugged in and leaving it in the car while brekky was devoured.

Bright sunshine, a few nice fluffy white clouds, in perfect blue sky... temp is about +3c at the moment... a wee bit chilly, but certainly pleasanly crisp ! !

Going to have a heatwave tomorrow, according to the weather forecast.... temps will reach or exceed  +9c.. however we shall also have some gale force winds and the spray from the waves on the beach, may close the sea front road for the day.

Some people do enjoy a walk, or run,  along the seafront in those conditions though ! ! !...

Re: Having a nice day....

I can remember working in the fishing tackle shop one very cold winter. We asked for the heating to be turned up a few degrees and what was his answer?

"There's no such thing as cold, it's called inefficient clothing, and besides, if you worked a bit harder you'd get warmer"

When I walked into his office to get a delivery signed off he had an electric heater on full belt. So much for his 'inefficient clothing' comment.

A float tip is pleasing in its appearance and even more pleasing in its disappearance.

@shutter Some great pics. Thanks for posting.

Here in Essex this morning we had our coldest temps so far with -2C as I drove to the club this morning. Luckily I was playing tennis indoorsSmiley

Re: Having a nice day....

Production welding in a cold workshop is a strange situation.

You get a very warm front and a freezing cold back.

Many times I wished I could weld with my back to the bench for a change.
