Ha ha, you can all laugh at me.

I'm currently sat on a bench at stoke on trent station. I should be at home with the kids as swmbo is going out.  Why i hear you cry!? Because i got on the wrong train from london! What an idiot. So take your best shots, i can't feel any worse :-)

Re: Ha ha, you can all laugh at me.

Those lovely children will still love you anyway when you eventually arrive home [like the avatar!]! Smiley
I am just curious as to where you intended going to?   I assume Stoke on Trent was not intended destination and therefore wondered how many trains you have to use now to get to where you should be?  I would not laugh at you for getting wrong train anyway!
[But please what is SWMBO? Huh ]

Re: Ha ha, you can all laugh at me.

Oh thanks for explanation adiewoo - I was sure I knew what it was but just could not think what it meant!
Well, I had to go by train to Nottingham this morning for an appointment and train arrived in late so it cost me more as had to get taxi instead of walking!  So the trains being late is very very common!

edit - yes you are allowed............. there are not many who are on here................

Re: Ha ha, you can all laugh at me.

I'm dating a rather lovely young lady in Halifax.
I got the train home, or so I thought.  I was on the right platform at the right time to get the train to Leeds.  Unfortunately, it wasn't the train I expect and ended up in a place called Bridgend.  Meant I had to wait an hour for the train to Leeds which meant I'd missed the last train to Sheffield.
Unfortunately the decidedly fantastic young lady had to drive me back to Sheffield.  On her birthday Sad
