HG612 for Sale

Hello everyone,
Am I allowed to post this here? Sorry if not Sad.

What does the modem actually do on a ADSL line? BTW If I were to buy it, It will by used on my friends Virgin National BB

It gives a good connection that it stable due to the Broadcom 6368 chipset it uses. Finding a modem with such a good chipset at this price is next to impossible which is why many use it on ADSL. Once unlocked, the modem can do all of the internet authentication itself so there is no need for an extra router (however there are only two ethernet ports and no wireless).
It should work fine on a Virgin National line, provided the correct login details are used.

My friend uses a netgear DGND3300v2 N300 dual band wireless router. Will it make a different? In speed?

I can't say. It might make a small difference but a minimal one as the two routers (the HG612 and DGND3300) use similar Broadcom chipsets.
