And so this tragic story unfolds and as one reporter said, the age of innocence ends for a country that thought itself safe from the man made sorrows of the world. My younger brother and his family moved to New Zealand some twenty years ago and they are going to be well and truly devastated as will all right thinking Kiwis.

May our thoughts be with them. Sad

... and now another shooting in the Netherlands with three deaths reported.

What on earth is the world coming to, and not wishing to downplay any of this but why are they being reported as "terrorists" attacks. Surely these are murders of the worst kind pure and simple - or am I missing something?

New Zealand BANS all semi-automatic weapons used in Christchurch mosque attack

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said that military style semi-automatics and assault rifles will be banned under new gun laws
