Green Zone

If you want to see a good movie go and see 'Green Zone' by British director Paul Greengrass and starring Matt Damon.  Saw it today and can fully recommend it.  It's a bit like Bourne Identity meets Private Ryan.  It's an action packed political thriller based around the search for WMDs in Iraq with some good twists in the story that has you on the edge of your seat for the full 2 hours.  Smiley Smiley

Thanks artmo - our local film club was asking for ideas, and that sounds good.

Re: Green Zone

Bought a DVD this week of this year's Oscar winner, 'The Hurt Locker'.  Looking forward to seeing it soon.  It's another one which is based on the Iraq War.

Re: Green Zone

I wasn't overly impressed by The Hurt Locker - to me it seemed like a bunch of disjointed stories that had been thrown together with one character experiencing them all.  (That being said, some of the cinematography is excellent)
Green Zone is on my list to see, though.

Re: Green Zone

The Hurt Locker was made on a budget of only $11m which is ridiculously low.  $100m is not uncommon now for a major movie.  By comparison Green Zone had a budget of $110m.
