I like this story about the Grammar Vigilante of Bristol.
I invited him to patrol this forum but he declined, saying it was far too big a task for one person.
Lets see how hes accepted by Bristols sign writers.

Oh, come on now. I'm sure even you realise that last line should have been:

I also hate that expression " should of" it really grates with me.
Another pet bugbear is the ending of a sentence with "and stuff"! You frequently hear people say " we went to the cinema, had a meal out and a few drinks and stuff. What is that all about?

@Strat, not to mention @MauriceC's use of 'theirs' and not there is. Of course responding to a post like this is asking for trouble as someone will no doubt point out the next time I make a mistake, just as well no one is perfect.

Seems somewhat ironic that someone who spends their time correcting punctuation would call themselves a grammar vigilante...
