Google or Duckduckgo ?

As Google seem intent on collecting as much information about users as possible, mainly for advertising purposes, is their any benefit in using alternative search engines such as duckduckgo ? which claim not to collect any information.
Thoughts please. Smiley

I like that DuckDuckGo search engine uses SSL, but as much as I hate Google I will be sticking with them.

I'll stick with Google as I use translate, maps and scholar every day.

Another option is www.ask.com which has the AskEraser.

I tried DDG when Mint switched to it as the default engine, but have switched back to google, just more results.

Re: Google or Duckduckgo ?

I'm happy with Google and not worried about the information they collect.
