What are you looking for?  House? Flat? Buying? Renting?

The best place to live in Sheffield is Leeds. Wink

Which says a lot about the inhabitants of West Yorkshire.

Does it?
I'd have thought North Yorks would be too far to commute to PN from.
South Leeds takes around 45 mins to Tenter Street IIRC which is about the limit for a sensible commute IMO.

Who said anything about North Yorkshire?
McGurka,
I live here which will set you back about £500 a month for a well sized furnished one double bedroom flat.  It's a bit steep but the flats are gorgeous and you have a cracking view over Sheffield in addition to a Castle being in your driveway.
You'll generally be looking at £400+ for any furnished flat in or near to the centre of Sheffield (ie: within a mile or two).

Affordable on a TSA starting wage? I know under disclosure, you cant tell me how much you earn, but an indication of if its feasable is good.

Re: Good places to find houses etc in Sheffield

£500 would still be less than half of your take home Smiley
Renting costs will drop the further outside of Sheffield City Centre you look at, but it's a balance between housing and transports costs versus how long you can be bothered to sit in public transport for.
I hate public transport.
