Good or bad call, Peter Hain to stand down as an MP at next election

[quote= http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27742136]The MP for Neath had been reselected by his local party and said he had been intending to run again next year.
But Mr Hain, 64, who became an MP in 1991, said it was now time to "draw stumps" on his Commons career.
The former Northern Ireland and Welsh secretary said he would now find "new ways" to be involved in politics.

Re: Good or bad call, Peter Hain to stand down as an MP at next election

well like his cohorts in crime he was utterly useless for the country as a member of the cabinet
one can only hope he finds a place in politics as yet another pointless labour pundit and doesn't ascend to the lords like some of the other useless gimps (Mandelson etc) where he would be able to further harm the nation with his weak minded nonsense
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

indeed, and about as useful in politics as the meaning I was ascribing it to ....
besides anyone who saw the film that popularised the term will be aware of the applicable meaning .....
