Gone fishing!

The current HSBC advert with the apparently trained fishing bird...
Is this real? or some kind of very clever computer generated graphic?

Re: Gone fishing!

It wouldn't at all surprise me if it was genuine. There are many amazing things out there Smiley
Edit: quick review of video and a quick Google revealed this and this.

Re: Gone fishing!

Many, many years ago, 45 years I think, while on holiday in Cornwall my father and brother went out fishing for mackerel with a local fisherman in a small boat. A seagull seem to have befriended the local fisherman as it flow and circle where the mackerel were and after the catch came for it's reward of a fish or two.

Re: Gone fishing!

its true i saw a program on it a year or so ago.
i cant rember how they do it but they do restrict there throat width of the bird so its impossable for the birds to eat a whole fish.
but the fishermen cuts up fish and feeds it to them that's why they happily bring the fish back to the boat all tho that said they are secured by wire to make sure they dont do one

The usual suspects can discuss whether is it a fake or not
