Go Sober in October for MacMillan Cancer

MacMillan Cancer Support have launched a month long charity initiative - Go Sober For October http://www.gosober.org.uk
You can take part as an individual, team, workplace etc to raise money.
A worthy cause and a worthy month of sobriety!

As you say a worthy cause, might have been an idea for them to provide cheap cardboard boxes and ask people to fill them with the money they would have spent on Alcohol during the month of October.
I Guess some people would be in for a shock when they came to count what they spent on alcohol  in a month.

I have one glass of kirsch per week, with Sunday lunch ( purchased in Calais supermarket), so always sober  Cry
I'll just continue to make monthly DD payment to Cancer Research UK albeit MacMillan nurses are great from personal experience.
Last cig was Feb 8th 1988  Smiley
