Giving to charity thread.

Moderator's note:

The above thread has been removed due to the incessant sniping and bickering of a few members spoiling it for the rest.

If this does not stop then further action will be taken.

Re: Giving to charity thread.

Was it really necessary to remove the whole thread? Huh

Re: Giving to charity thread.

It is a pity when you get into a interesting discussion that the whole lot gets blocked, I wonder if that is the real aim of those whose actions lead to a topic being blocked.

Something not balanced right that's for sure.

Dare to explain Mods?

Re: Giving to charity thread.

The explanation was given in the OP.

Re: Giving to charity thread.

@Mav

Well given this is now in the public domain, perhaps you would consider my previous comments as a private message.

I now await your reply in kind.

Better perhaps to remove the offending poster(s)

This is the second thread in as many days that has been disrupted, causing posts to be removed or threads closed.

Re: Giving to charity thread.

Indeed @artmo and I saw nothing offensive in my opening post or some of the answers.

Something not quite right here.

Re: Giving to charity thread.

Surprised and a little disappointed to note that neither here or privately you have not told us why it was necessary to remove the whole thread.

Guess we'd better leave it there. Sad

I didn't see this thread until it had been removed. I'm guessing it wasn't the OP but maybe a particular poster. It would be interesting to have some clues from the mods.

Re: Giving to charity thread.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the original post or some of the ones that followed in response.

What was or went wrong was when one particular poster infested the discussion after which it all went pear shaped as intended. The culprit is now doing the same elsewhere despite having been reported by more than one of us here.

An explanation?

I don't see us getting one.

Re: Giving to charity thread.

I don't think i saw the thread either. I have my suspicions as to who may have been sniping at who though.

I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!
